According to the Chinese government regulation (Notice for entry-exit Chinese citizen to present Health Certificate), any Chinese citizens having stayed abroad for over 3 months, or having stayed abroad to work, study or live for over 1 year, shall undergo health examination (including serological tests of Aids & other sexual diseases) and vaccination, and shall produce Health Certificate for inspection by the Health and Quarantine organizations when crossing the border.
